On a slow VM, it is possible to launch the installer webui multiple times. It's also possible to launch the installer webui from the dash before the Fedora welcome window comes up. These cases lead to strange results
I've observed three different outcomes:
1. The Firefox URL bar and tab bar is un-hidden, and a second tab is added, that loads the second instance of the web UI
2. A second web UI window is open in parallel to the first
3. An error dialog pops up, mentioning something about failing to write a PID file
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot Fedora 44 in a VM on a laptop or something
2. Try to launch the app, repeatedly, from the dash and (once it appears) welcome window
3. Observe wonky behavior
Expected Results:
The webui has some mechanism that prevents running multiple instances of itself
