We currently have an integration implemented for GNOME Workstation that uses gnome-settings to manage keyboard selection.

There is also partial implementation for supporting keyboard selection in non-GNOME variants (spins), but this code is not yet production-ready.

 Refactor and extend the existing solution to ensure keyboard selection works seamlessly across non-GNOME spins.
