User Stories:

As a RH employee, I want to be able to easily consume internal RH composes to install my machine, so that I don't loose time on installations.

Description:

With RHEL-8 there was a split of repositories from one to BaseOS and AppStream. To enable easy consumption of these repositories Anaconda created a code to read information from the .treeinfo file which will tell the installer where to look for repositories. Anaconda will then use all repositories from the .treeinfo file automatically.

However, this .treeinfo file is created correctly only on our GA images but not in our internal composes. There are all the repositories on one place. This should improve with https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHELCMP-13763 .

We found that this functionality is partially broken so to improve life of our colleagues we should fix this issue.

Acceptance criteria:

• Stage2 image is downloaded correctly from the .treeinfo. This is important so that you don't need two links because .treeinfo will be in a separate directory.
• Cover this functionality by tests if possible to avoid future breakage.
• (Optional) finally document this upstream.
