      PagerDuty Access

A new team that wants to use PagerDuty will need the following created in this order:

      • Team: Each team will need a “Team” added in PagerDuty in order to add users to that Team, set up schedules for the Team, etc.
        • First, check https://redhat.pagerduty.com/teams to see if your team is already listed.
        • If your team is not already listed, you will need to request that a new Team be added to PagerDuty through this form. Please fill out this form with the following information:
      Name:
Select your monitoring and logging service : PagerDuty (Event Management)
      Request Type: Consultation
Describe your consultation request: I would like to create a new Team in PagerDuty called “<TEAM_NAME>”

      • Manager’s PagerDuty User: The manager of each team should request access to PagerDuty using this form. They should fill out this form with the following information:
      Name:
Select your monitoring and logging service : PagerDuty (Event Management)
      Request Type: Access Request
Select the CMDB Application Code(s) needed: OpenShift Dedicated
What Team?: (Insert team name from step above)
What specific type of access is needed? Manage schedules, escalations, and team members

        • Once the manager’s PagerDuty account has been created, they should follow the Initial User Configuration guide to further configure their account
      • Engineers’ Users: please ask each of the team members identified above to create a ServiceNow ticket to request access to PagerDuty using this form. They should fill out this form with the following information:
      Name:
Select your monitoring and logging service : PagerDuty (Event Management)
      Request Type: Access Request
Select the CMDB Application Code(s) needed: OpenShift Dedicated
What Team?: (Insert team name from “Team” step above)
What specific type of access is needed? To be able to acknowledge alerts

        • Once the engineer’s PagerDuty account has been created, they should follow the Initial User Configuration guide to further configure their account
      • Schedule: Once the manager's and engineers' PagerDuty accounts have been set up, the manager will need to create a Schedule in PagerDuty for the team and add the team members to the schedule. To create a schedule and add users to that schedule, please see the guide to Manually Adding a User to an On-Call Schedule.
