Goal:

We have a google doc (which is a little outdated now) of how to use the upload APIs (includes usage of the internal API and how to test the public APIs in IQE), but it would be useful to have some of the crucial info from this doc and any other info needed to use these APIs directly in the backend repo.

Acceptance Criteria:

• Clear usage docs exist in the backend repo
