The ostree stage pulls all commits while later in the pipeline only /usr/etc files are used, that is like 12 MiB download compared to 2 GiB full ostree CentOS9 tree. Significant time and resources can be saved if the ostree source has configurable option to download specific dirs/files and pass that as --subtree option to ostree pull command.
