GCP uses a nifty naming pattern where # characters are replaced with numbers.

Let’s implement this technique for AWS and Azure too. When instance name is entered, the service will replace all # characters with sequence of numbers. When no # characters are present, "-####" suffix will be automatically added.

OpenAPI will be updated describing this behavior.
