      Description of problem:

      Documentation states we support filesystems mounted to /var. We do not really support this, since it impacts the Kubelet's ability to GC images and calculate usage drive space. Kubelet looks at the root (/) filesystem to calculate disk usage, and so evictions, gc images, and other services are not accurate with disks mounted to /var.
      
      There is a feature in the works called Split filesystems (upstream), but it is not close to being done.    
      
      The current docs are accurate on how to mount disks to /var, but we need to change the docs to call out this limitation and state we do not recommend disks mounted to /var.
