Bare Metal as a Service (BMaaS) supports users deploying non-OpenShift nodes using the Machine API through Ironic. Users can deploy RHCOS, RHEL, or Windows nodes that are not part of an OpenShift cluster for purposes not yet supported by OpenShift operators (e.g., new AI workloads running newer unsupported GPUs). Users must use a namespace other than the one used by the OpenShift cluster to manage bare-metal nodes that belong to the cluster.
