Workaround the misbehaving inventory delete

The fix for HWKINVENT-45 is quite complex and will require time to implement and "settle".

If it is not ready by Monday, 1st June 2015, we should work around it in the UI by manually deleting the metrics associated with a resoure prior to deleting the resource itself.
