I have a small EAR deployment containing a "mariadb-ds.xml" that defines a datasource for the deployment.

When clicking the datasource in the details view of my deployment, it reports two errors:

"Error while reading metadata." with details "Missing metadata: [MetadataContext] @ deployment=KuchenSimple.ear/subdeployment=KuchenSimpleEJB.jar/subsystem=datasources/data-source=*"

And:

"Unable to execute last operation" with detail message "Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException"

I don't see any log that would provide full stacktraces. Is it possible to enable logging?

To reproduce:

1. deploy attached sample application "KuchenSimple.ear"
2. open HAL

The sample contains a file "mariadb-ds.xml" (which actually points to a H2 database so that no additional setup is required).
