Whatever button you click on screen Standalone Server > Subsystems > Transaction Logs (I mean{{Remove}}, Probe, Refresh...) you will get confirmation message (green bar above the screen) which says Success: Probe operation.

It does not matter what operation you did but you are confirmed that probe was done. I'm not sure if the underlaying operation is correct or not and if this is a trouble only of the confirmation message.

Anyway, the appropriate action and message should be shown for each type of action.
