Context: Upstream ArgoCD currently allows users to customize which tools/versions of tools can be used with Argo CD. The available options include supplying init containers and volume mounts specifying the concerned binary versions, or building a custom repo-server image. however, presently there appears to be no way to specify initContainers for the repo-server deployment in the OpenShift UI, and any changes made to repo-server deployment directly are reverted by the operator

The work for this is still in native stages, as such this story maybe rendered obsolete in due course
