The current stable argo-cd release 3.0.12 released on 2025-07-26. See https://github.com/argoproj/argo-cd/tags

Image-updater currently references argo-cd 2.14.x, and will need to upgrade to argo-cd v3, to take advantage of recent fixes and enhancements in argo-cd.  This requires replacing the existing dependency github.com/argoproj/argo-cd/v2 with the new dependency github.com/argoproj/argo-cd/v3

argo-cd v3 contains some breaking changes and should be evaluated:

Need to perform the argo-cd v3 upgrade in both image updater project master and crd branches.
