Before this feature, the ability to perform rollback for an application with multiple sources was not available via UI and CLI in Argo CD. Post this feature, users will now be able to perform a rollback for an application with multiple sources via both UI and CLI.

      Epic Goal

Currently, ArgoCD supports multi-source applications and that's a really nice feature, but using multi source, end users have to sacrify the option of executing fast rollbacks because the rollbacks are not supported for multi-source applications.

      Why is this important?

      • Users who need rollback support are not able to take advantage of the Multiple Sources Application. We need to enable these users to use the Multiple Sources Application feature.

      Acceptance Criteria (Mandatory)

      • User should be able to rollback the application to a previous state via UI and CLI successfully
      • CI - MUST be running successfully with tests automated
      • Release Technical Enablement - Provide necessary release enablement details and documents

      Done Checklist

      • Acceptance criteria are met
      • Non-functional properties of the Feature have been validated (such as performance, resource, UX, security or privacy aspects)
      • User Journey automation is delivered
      • Support and SRE teams are provided with enough skills to support the feature in production environment
