Unsuccessful undeploy of Fuse project from server

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    • Hide

      Required elements:

      • A JBDS installation with Fuse tooling installed
      • A configured Fuse 6.2.1 runtime instance (could be installed via the tooling but would need the ../etc/users.properties file updated to add the admin/admin user)
      • A configured server in the Servers view pointing to the runtime instance

      Steps:

      1. Create a new Fuse project with the Blueprint archetype (New->Fuse Project). Use defaults wherever possible. Update the test per FUSETOOLS-1551.
      2. Start the server in the Servers view.
      3. Add the new Fuse project to the Servers view.
      4. Check the Terminal - do an osgi:list to see your new bundle active in the server
      5. Remove the Fuse project from the Servers view (right-click on the deployed project under the server in the Servers view tree, select "Remove")
      6. Check the Terminal - do an osgi:list to see the bundle is still there

    Description

While testing the getting started experience, I noticed that a default Fuse project (with the tweak in FUSETOOLS-1551 to the generated test) deploys fine to a Fuse 6.2.1 server in the Servers view, but does not actually get removed from the server when you trigger an undeploy in the Servers view.

To remove the orphaned project, you must do an osgi:uninstall of the bundle ID in the terminal view.
