The decision has been made to no longer allow manual positioning of figures in the diagram. This also obsoletes tasks like persisting user layouts.

The current layout logic will be replaced by an automated layout system which automatically arranges figures and resizes containers as needed. It will no longer be possible to resize or move figures in the diagram. We also want to provide better visual feedback on where a figure can be dropped in a diagram.
