Steps to Reproduce:

Hide

1. Switch to Source tab
2. Edit the XML so that it is not valid anymore (e.g. remove a slash)
3. Save
4. Switch to Design tab
5. Switch back to Source tab
6. Now, if you save it then you will loose the whole code

The whole route is lost if you manually corrupt the xml.
