This epic focuses on delivering a robust, production-ready, on-premise installation method for the Cost Management application, leveraging and extending the existing Helm chart deployment used for Resource Optimization.

This effort will enable customers with strict security or networking requirements to run the Cost Management service entirely within their own environment, with the flexibility to use either a local database deployment or a managed remote database (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).

Key Scope Items:

• Helm Chart Extension: Adapt and integrate mandatory Cost Management SaaS components into the existing Helm chart.

• Database Consolidation: Ensure all Cost Management backend components utilize a new, dedicated database on the existing single database server used by the on-prem deployment.

• Ingress Standardization: Replace the custom ingress solution with the standard SaaS Ingress for all components.

• Kafka topics creation: create topics (if not covered by ros) required for cost-mgmt application
• Initial Deployment: Successfully install the existing, mandatory Cost Management software via the extended Helm chart.

Dependencies & Exclusions:

• Dependency: This Epic relies on the completion of the separate effort to replace Trino processing with PostgreSQL processing before the full chart can be released for general availability.

• Exclusion: The Trino to PostgreSQL replacement work is tracked in a separate epic and is not part of this scope.
