The current auth design requires to have a dedicated envoy sidecar for ros-ocp-backend, source-api and koku to support authentication. This approach can be simplified by adding an API gateway that consolidates the authentication for all 3 components and acts as a reverse proxy between the UI and these microservices. The goal of this spike is to study the viability of this approach and document it.
