Given the current OVN code and documentation contain instances of language that are identified as non-inclusive,

When an engineer reviews it and update the codebase and documentation,

Then, non-inclusive terms are replaced with more inclusive alternatives

In an attempt to be more conscientious of potentially hurtful language in our code, we want to avoid using non-inclusive words as much as possible.

For this task, use the following third party list as a guideline:
      https://inclusivenaming.org/word-lists/

Unless doing so would be disruptive, please change any instances of the words found in this list with alternative words that are more inclusive.

      Some exceptions would be:

      • References to URLs which include non-inclusive words.
      • Configuration for third-party software which use non-inclusive words.

If an OVN configuration item requires changing, then it would be best to maintain the old configuration for the sake of upgrades, with the intention of removing the outdated configuration item for some future release.
