ovn-detrace decodes ofproto/trace outputs trying to make the link between openflows that are hit for a packet and the corresponding Southbound and Northbound database.

The most useful information a user can gather with ovn-detrace is when both SB and NB records are matched against the openflow cookies.  However, in some deployments, the NB might not be accessible from the node where ovn-detrace is run.  In such scenarios, limiting ovn-detrace to SB information is probably an acceptable solution.
