We need to productise the next release of the Flink Kafka connector.
The current main branch is based on Flink 2.1 and Kafka 4.0.0. We have encouraged the release of this as the 5.0.0-2.1.0 release but this hasn't happend yet. There is an open PR to update to the Kafka 4.1.0 client libraries and this may be merged before the release.
If there is no release forthcoming we will have to cut our own release branch in the midstream and begin productisation off that. We can rebase onto the actual release branch once that is out.
