It looks like the Connect / Connector operator get stuck when they receive error from the Connect REST API and never complete the reconciliation. The upstream issue links logs and with more details, but it is not really obvious where exactly the problem is or how to reproduce it. But we should at least give it a try and see if we can find and fix something.
