The current live and readiness probes are based on checkin the ZooKeeper connection first and then checking the broker state. We should confirm what is the right approach to readiness and liveness probes with Kraft. Checking ZooKeeper is probably not the right approach anymore. We need to come up with a proposal and implement it.
