There is an idea to automatically convert defined system variable into kafka internal variable, which can be used in clients. Instead of currently defined each variable and parsed etc.

For example

BOOTSTRAP_SERVERS -> bootstrap.servers
SSL_TRUSTSTORE_PASSWORD -> ssl.truststore.password
