Kafka Bridge does not handle assignment and subscription

Assignment and subscription should be exclusive - if we assign some partition, we are not able to use subscription in the bridge scope. And vice versa.
Currently, the bridge hits an NPE if we try to do so.
We are missing any kind of assignment test.
