Newer systems (RHEL9 etc.) can be configured and may be configured by default to use only the most secure ciphers and hashes. The MD5 hash has been considered insecure for a while now and its use is not allowed in the most secure crypto settings.
This is problematic for running the automated testing built into the proton-c build as it uses MD5 based SASL mechanisms in the tests.
