this is sort of an optimization, however we should bring this into 7.0.2 as it will avoid issues when the system is under heavy load.

the startup should avoid calling iterator() when paging just to get the first message.

The startup should check for depage in the background, allowing the system to start faster.

Call to flushExecutor should be removed
