Currently, the patching mechanism will only consider bundles with the same major and micro version for patching - occassionally however, we do need the option of upgrading to a new minor version as well (cfr. ENTESB-762 for a security upgrade from Woodstox 4.1.x to Woodstox 4.2.0).
