In Readme ther is a step:
mvn exec:java -Pkaraf -Dexec.args="Boeing 10"

karaf profile is not defined in pom.xml so we get:

[WARNING] The requested profile "karaf" could not be activated because it does not exist.

the quickstart is working, this is just a matter of fixing Readme
