According to http://camel.apache.org/ftp2.html and http://camel.apache.org/file2.html there is a "autoCreate" URI option that is by default set to "true". The description states: "Automatically create missing directories in the file's pathname. For the file consumer, that means creating the starting directory."

Accordingly, we would expect that without specifying this option in the URI of a FTP consumer endpoint, non-existent directories are auto created.

In our example, this is not happening, the route starts, no directories are created. This can easily be verified by manually logging into the FTP server.
