This is a feature request for supporting Camel 3 on Spring Boot.
A good number of customers as well as people in the field have asked what our story is about supporting Camel 3 on SB. The demand for such support seems to be growing.

Camel 2.23 as offered in Fuse 7 is considered old and lacking the latest Camel features. With Camel 3 being out for 2 years now, customers like to be able to upgrade to Camel 3.

Just two years ago we told customers to migrate from Fuse 6 Karaf to Fuse 7 on Spring Boot, which was quite some investment in terms of migration. Now a number of customers like to stay on Spring Boot and don't want to migrate to Quarkus to get support for Camel 3.

Customers also don't always understand how many fixes we have back ported from higher Camel versions to 2.23. Still it seems to them as if Red Hat supports only an outdated version of Camel on Spring Boot.
