Custom connector inputs are enabled when user isn't editing

When I go to edit a custom connector, the inputs are already enabled so I write in them, but then later when I click on Edit as if confirm my edit the inputs get reset to their original value.

^^ the input should either be disabled before I click on edit or maybe edit should be enabled automatically when I start to edit?
