      We refer to the debezium-read and db-log-write spans in the telemetry documentation, but we do not clearly define what they represent.

      db-log-write includes the time in milliseconds between the time the event was written by the database and processed by Debezium. You can think of this is as capturing the latency for each event.

      db-read specifies the time in milliseconds from the time the event was processed by Debezium and the time it was seen by the transformation just before hand-off to the Kafka topic.
