After switching to different base images, example images for Mysql replication stopped working. Replication seems to starts:

but initial sync doesn't happen and the database inventory is not created and populated.
Therefore readiness probe which does the select from inventory database on the replica never succeeds and the replica container is never considered as stared.
Also any other updates in the master DB later on fails as the DB is missing:
