When changing the documentation version in the version drop-down selector, the user is redirected to the documentation overview page, which creates a navigation flow problem for users who may be using older versions.

At the time, the selector was designed to avoid the user selecting a version for a specific page only to find that the page does not exist for a given version since it may be a new feature or has been renamed/moved across versions.
