Correct description of the `all_tables` option for the PG `publication.autocreate.mode` property

XMLWordPrintable

In the PostgreSQL connector documentation, the description of the all_tables option for the publication.autocreate.mode property incorrectly states that the SQL command for creating a publication is responsible for granting permissions to create publications and perform replications to the database user account through which the connector accesses the database.

In reality, the command in question has nothing to do with granting permissions. Instead, it represents the SQL that the connector runs in the background to create a publication after you set the all_tables option. The connector must already be able to access the database through an account that has permission to create publications and perform replications. The steps for ensuring that the connector user has sufficient privileges is described inĀ Setting privileges to enable Debezium to create PostgreSQL publications when you use pgoutput
