Oracle connector inconsistency in redo log switches

XMLWordPrintable

In order to make your issue reports as actionable as possible, please provide the following information, depending on the issue type.

      Bug report

For bug reports, provide this information, please:

What Debezium connector do you use and what version?

      2.6.1.Final

      What is the connector configuration?

      Oracle RAC

      What behavior do you expect?

The edge case scenario is a 2-node Oracle RAC:

      DB is at SCN #10
      Node1 flushes
      SCN #10 is in Redo1
      Node2 flushes
For some reason which we don't understand SCN#10 is flushed but not yet available in the Redo2
      DBZ fetches SCN10 - SCN 20
SCN #10 now appears in Redo2
DBZ now fetches SCN 20 - SCN 30
SCN 10 in Redo 2 is lost forever

      What behavior do you see?

      Abandoned transcations

Do you see the same behaviour using the latest released Debezium version?

      Was OK in 2.3
