What Debezium connector do you use and what version?

Informix Debezium Connector and the version was 2.5.0

What is the connector configuration?

I have attached the source connector configuration that I was using. 

What is the captured database version and mode of deployment?

I am using the below versions of Informix and I am using the KAFKA Connect UI for Debezium connector deployment. 

Informix Dynamic Server
14.10.FC10W1X2
Informix JDBC Driver for Informix Dynamic Server
4.50.JC10

KAFKA Version: 7.4.1-ce

What behaviour do you expect?

I had expected the schema only snapshot to be completed when I start the source connector on the specified table "table.include.list": "cards.mcp.trans_requests", and change data capture be enabled on this table. The source connector should be able to capture all events on the specified table and publish all messages in the topic. 

What behaviour do you see?

After enabling my source connector, snapshot of the specified table was being taken during which an error occurs, and the source connector task fails. In the logs, the error shown is that the default value set in the source table schema is being picked as string by the schema registry and the expected values are other than string even though in the table's schema the default value is not string. 

In the source table schema: 

        nduplicate_trans SMALLINT DEFAULT 0,

Do you have the connector logs, ideally from start till finish?
