Currently UUID is not among supported data types. The problem is that

1) UUID is a subtype of binary bson type
2) There are multiple UUID binary encoding formats in mongo

• Newest standardised UUID encoding which is driver neutral
• Legacy encoding specific for various mongodb drivers
