In 2.4.4 Apicurio version, the processing of complex types was changed ("Union types not supported well in Avro SerDes"), specifically, if an Avro type contains a nested object/schema, there will be created two schemas in SR (previously was one) - need to recheck if this is true. So it is worth to upgrade Apicurio client libraries version to at least the specified version
