Each Oracle Redo Thread generates a consecutive and continuous stream of redo log sequence numbers. In an Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environment, each node can create a sequence overlapping with other nodes; however, the logs do not interweave. This means that each min/max check should be applied per redo thread rather than across all threads inclusively during the log sequence validity check.
