Since incremental snapshots are available snapshots can easily be (re-)triggered and continued.

In the code / config we still have SNAPSHOT_SELECT_STATEMENT_OVERRIDES_BY_TABLE / snapshot.select.statement.overrides and SNAPSHOT_MODE_TABLES / snapshot.include.collection.list to use in such a scenario to specify explicitly which tables/collections should be (re-)snapshotted.
I suggest removing those options in favor of using incremental snapshots.
