Which use case/requirement will be addressed by the proposed feature?

When provide.transaction.metadata setting is enabled, the vgtid in the record (source vgtid and transaction.id) switches from including only the shards assigned to the task to instead including all shards of the keyspace. This signficantly increases message size since there can be hundreds of shards. See DBZ-6680 for more discussion.
