      Ultimately, the above KIP proposes a set of contracts that define a transaction-scoped way to commit both changes and offsets to Kafka that allows a source connector to fully achieve exactly-once semantics.

      We should take time to digest what the KIP outlines and see whether this would fit with Debezium, identifying any gaps or concerns we may have if implemented.
