Migrate test-suite fixtures to JUnit extension

One of the causes for current test-suite instabilities is the set of interfaces used as test fixtures responsible for environment setup – for some reason JUnit swallows some exceptions thrown in default interface methods.

The solution is to reimplement this features properly as JUnit extension.
