      Neither oplog nor change stream mode can be used with AWS DocumentDB, since AWS DocumentDB does not support {$natural: -1} ordering.

      Achieving some sort of change stream tracking is definitely possible, since the official mongo source connector task is compatible with AWS DocumentDB.
