When using the Debezium embedded engine, the offset storage implementation to be configured must be an implementation of the Kafka-defined interface OffsetBackingStore. Debezium should provide its own abstraction, reducing the exposure of Kafka types on the configuration surface when using the embedded engine or Debezium Server.
