Description
I've been using Debezium 1.4 in a proof of concept to investigate the behaviour of the Postgresql connector.
I amended the inventory.sql init script so that it creates a completely new table (see https://github.com/debezium/docker-images/blob/master/examples/postgres/1.4/inventory.sql).
I noticed the topic for the table is not automatically pre-created unless some records are inserted into the table.
This is while having KAFKA_AUTO_CREATE_TOPICS_ENABLE set to true in the kafka service (2.6).
Is this expected behaviour?
Does it have to do with the fact that DDL changes are not captured by Debezium?
Anyway, I haven't found anything explicitly mentioning this in the docs ( https://debezium.io/documentation/reference/configuration/topic-auto-create-config.html)
Could you confirm it's expected behaviour?
Thanks a lot.
